Macduff's army was approaching, and Young Siward found Macbeth first and they fought each other. When he kills him, the audience thinks that he might survive and fight off the rest. Unfortunatly for him, Macduff was born before his time, and he killed Macbeth.

∙ 11y agoMacbeth killed Young Siward because he came to Macbeth for a fight and since Macbeth is fearing no man that came from a woman he didn't fear Young Siward at all to kill him. Since he meant nothing to Macbeth anyways it made things easy.

∙ 13y agothe idea is that Macbeth is so guilty that he has sent men to successfully kill Banquo, that he starts hallucinating i.e. seeing the bloody remains that is Banquo's ghost. In the play, this is the worst time for Macbeth to have these hallucinations, because he has just become king and wants to impress the nobles at a banquet and by having this dramatic scene, it implies to the nobles that King Macbeth has gone insane.
