We got a redesign, and now there is no pig on the home page. Pigs are very bright creatures and very clean creatures compared to many other animals. Perhaps the very fact that pigs are quite intelligent and learn easily is the reason it was chosen. The point to the decent people avoiding pigs...... not worshipping pigs, and so on comments, is elusive to say the least. A pig is one of numerous farm animals. Since this site's overall purpose is to farm (plant & grow) FAQs with answers, a pig was chosen as the small image.
The image space is the 2D plane of the image where pixels are located. It represents the spatial space of the image. In other words, when we talk about the location of each pixel in an image, we are talking about image space. On the other hand, feature space is about the radiometric values assigned to each pixel. In case of a grey-scale imagery, only one radiometric value is assigned to each pixel. When we say an image is RGB or multispectral, then each pixel has several radiometric values that are stored in different channels (for instance there are 3 channels of Red, Green and Blue in an RGB image, so for a pixel we have 3 radiometric values). Feature Space is the space of these radiometric values; the radiometric values of each pixel can be plotted in that space and you can create a feature space image. Last example, an RGB image has a 3 dimensional feature space while it still has a 2D image space.
As a Supervisor, my favorite WikiAnswers feature (though not available to regular contributors) would have to be the Batch Revert feature. The Batch Revert feature is a tool that allows Supervisors undo vandalism in answers caused by a single contributor (registered or not registered) in less than a minute. This feature can do anywhere from 1 to 1000 reverts at one time, so it is a definite favorite in combating vandal attacks.A profile page
Site supervisors feature questions on WikiAnswers. When there is a well written, easily understandable, never answered before question it has a chance to be featured on our main page. To get a question featured send your question to a site supervisor and ask them if they believe it could be featured.
