∙ 12y agoWilliam won because his troop played a trick on Harold. they retreated an pretended to surrender Harold Godwineson believed them, and followed them down Senlac hill (the modern day name of where The Battle of Hastings took place) so it would make it easier for HG (HAROLD GODWINESON) army to overtake William's. apart from that HG had also just fought a battle at Stamford bridge which made his troop very tired. and he had lost many good men in that battle so they had to recruit new member>... farmers. So already this game them a less than fair percent of winning the Battle Of Hastings.
