One cannot speak for EVERYONE! The US government wanted to end the war; but during the cold war...did that mean to surrender to communism? Or fight communism until victory? Or fight communism to a draw? The Korean War was fought to a draw...that war was officially ended by an armistice (a truce); the same type of ending that ended the war to end all wars-WWI.
Yes the war in Vietnam was inevitable because the bone-head Government wouldn't have let the even the thought of Communism reach anywhere that they didn't want it to.
The US wanted N. Vietnam to stop fighting in S. Vietnam.
Viet Congs: North communist Vietnamese supporters of the communist Front in North Vietnam during the Vietnam War (known in Vietnam as the American War). The Viet Congs fought against both the government/military of South Vietnam and the armed forces of the United States between 1959 and 1975. They were initially a loose grouping of guerrilla fighters. Quick Note: South Vietnam/South Vietnamese didn't want the communist takeover from communist North Vietnam, they wanted to be a democratic country. U.S. entered the war to stop the spread of communism and support the democratic South Vietnam.
The NUMBER ONE reason for protesting the war was THEY DIDN'T WANT TO GO TO VIETNAM (THE DRAFT!).
Various reasons. If you go by American involvement in Vietnam, the dates will be different than the entire war itself. There was also a matter of secrecy as to just how long the US had been involved in Vietnam. For example, the first Special Forces soldier to die in Vietnam (Captain Harry Cramer, 1SFG) was killed in October of 1957, and his name was left off of the Vietnam Wall when it was unveiled in 1982, because the US government did not want to make it publicly known just how early on they had been involved in Vietnam.
over 100000 I think everyone except the State government officials are on board for that one. It hasn't been nicknamed Taxachussets for no reason.
He wanted freedom for everyone except the slaves of course.
they want the government to go through with it because then people will have a job and they get more money along with the government. everyone wins except for the environment view. >:( i honestly dont want the pipeline to go in because its destroying homes of innocent marine creatures. </3
Opposition wanted to end the war.
n contrast to liberals, conservatives want to keep government limited except in the area of marriage. They wish for the government to define marriage as between one man and one woman.
No one can answer that question, except Chrisie or the daughter.
That's a good question. I would think that most Buddhist would want every government to be more compassionate and understanding to everyone and would want everyone to work together to solve the worlds problems.
Vietnam was a population war. they can say what they want, but the government freaked after the population increased rapidly. therefor America targeted the nearest country that barely scraped our shoulder. it was population decrease.

The Canadian government tried its best to remain neutral during the Vietnam war, however when the time came Canadian citizens themselves became involved. It is believed that Canadian enlistment in the US Army during the Vietnam era far surpassed the 30,000 who fled as draft dodgers to Canada.
the leader of the country has COMPLETE or TOTAL control of the government. Dictatorship is a government system of rule where one dictates and forces everyone to abide by what they want.
That everyone has the same rights, by which their creator gave them, and that a true strong government is in the people
