NOthing in the history I can see, but a long tire valve and curb scraping do not go to gether very well, ask for short valves next time you are at the tire shop.
If it still had the original aluminum tire pressure sensor stems, they are 7 years old. That is about all expect.
The Grand Cherokee is notorious for failures of the air flow control. However the Cherokee has the same basic problem. The blend door has a tendency to break, killing control over air flow through the heater core. The fix is fairly simple with the kit from HeaterTreater. Check the product at heatertreater.net.
This is a common problem with these Jeeps. There is a plastic piece inside the thermostat control knob on each side (dual zone), which can break after time. It will not feel like it is broken when you turn it, but it is no longer changing the temperature and it will be stuck on the last setting it was on before it broke. One of your control knobs has this problem. It is a $25-$30 part that can be installed by most A/c repair shops or a Jeep dealership for a lot more.
With two special tools, a slim 36mm wrench and a spanner to hold the pulley.
This is the opposite of the most common fail mode for the GC. Usually the problem is no heat. However, the switch between heat and AC is controlled by the blend doors and they can break and fall into the wrong place blocking AC. More information is needed. If you don't have heat it is possible that the heater core is the problem but likely failure of your heat and/or A/C in your Jeep Grand Cherokee is due to the failure of your blend door. This is a very common problem for these cars as the limit pin on the blend door will break due to excessive force put on it by the motor. It is an inherent design flaw that will eventually happen on all JGC vehicles. The bad news is that the dealership/shop will want around $1200 after all is said and done. The good news is that you can do the repair yourself using an aftermarket kit. This type of fix is not difficult or time consuming...here is a youtube video on how this process works.
