The wires/boots may be older and leak voltage easier. If you are going to pull wires off while the engine is running looking for a dead cylinder, pull them off at the cap instead. Your chances of getting zapped are less. This procedure is not recomended because you can damage parts of the ignition system in doing so.

Your 17 hp Briggs and stratten lawn mower won't start it has gas don't know if has spark?

You can check for spark by removing the plug wire from the spark plug and holding it about 1/4 inch from ground. Have some one crank the engine or pull the starter rope and look for a spark to jump from the spark plug wire to ground. DO NOT hold the wire with your bare hands since you will get shocked. If you have spark there, remove the spark plug and insert it into the end of the spark plug wire and do the same procedure. If there is no spark, the plug is bad. If you have spark, the problem lies elsewhwere.

Why is there no spark on a 1993 Subaru Impreza?

Check that battery has power. Check that coil pack has power and is grounded. Ground out one spark plug and see if there is any spark. If there is no spark, then it is either a fuse or your coil pack is bad. Rule out that the coil pack is good and that your spark plug wires are bad. Test them all individually. Don't get shocked by the 20K volts from the ignition, it really hurts.

How do you change the spark plugs in a 1987 Chevy Celebrity?

To change the spark plugs in a Chevy Celebrity: 1. Give the spark plug boot a twist to free it up from the spark plug, then pull on the boot to remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug. 2. Use a 5/8" spark plug socket with an extension and ratchet or breaker bar to loosen then remove the spark plug. 3. Set the gap on the new plug to .045" then screw it back into the spark plug hole in the head. Tighten the spark plug and replace the spark plug wire.
