Best was fired after he failed The Beatles' audition for EMI's Parlophone Records, in the summer of 1962. Producer George Martin wanted to replace him on record with a studio drummer; the band decided to replace him completely. Ringo Starr had sat in with them a few times in Hamburg, had clicked with them personally, and he was willing to shave his beard and change his hairstyle, to fit in with the band's image. (Best had kept his same ducktail hairstyle, when the other members adopted the "Beatle haircut".)

Best was fired from the Beatles after their EMI audition for George Martin in 1962. Best showed almost no skill or "chops" on drums, and Martin wanted to replace him on their records with a session drummer.

Best had never really fit in as a member of the band, refusing to change his ducktail hairstyle when the rest of them adopted the "Beatle cut", not showing the wit displayed by Lennon, McCartney and Harrison, and spending most of his free time alone, while the others tended to spend it together. (There was also a faction among their fans in Liverpool, who considered the Beatles "Pete's band", and they were tired of it.)

Ringo Starr had sat in with the band a few times in Hamburg when Best wasn't available, had a unique playing style on drums, and a sense of humor that clicked naturally with the rest of the band. They wanted him to join.

Two Words: Yoko Ono. Plus, John Lennon was growing not only as an artist, but as a person. He needed a new way to express his political views. He wanted to spend more time with Yoko. And they just ...grew apart.

Tommy Moore was never actually a member of the "Beatles". He was drummer for the "Silver Beetles" from mid-May to mid-June, 1960, during the bands' ongoing drummerless period when they had problems finding and keeping a suitable drummer. Tommy left citing touring conditions and Lennon's personality as his reasons. Pete Best was next in the succession of drummers and started on the 12th of August, 1960. Against George Martin's better judgement, Pete Best was replaced with Ringo Starr as drummer on the 4th of September, 1962.

John Lennon was already gone, and McCartney was furious over the changes Phil Spector had made (adding a string section and a choir) to "The Long And Winding Road". While Lennon hadn't made a public announcement about leaving (Allen Klein was renegotiating their recording contract with EMI at the time, and it would have hurt their bargaining position), McCartney didn't hesitate to do so, leading to the long-held belief that he had quit first. (He admitted years later that Lennon was the first to go.)

He didn't leave all on his own. Everyone went their separate ways.

Actually he left while they were recording for The White Album and when he returned hid drum kit was covered in flowers

The reason the entire band broke up was mainly because of diverging musical tastes, and directions that the members wanted to take the band. One of the more common reasons that The Beatles broke up is that when John married Yoko, he started making music (which is still very good) with his new wife, and "didn't have time for" the band anymore. (This isn't the best way to put it, sorry). George is the only one who didn't actively leave the band; he was the last man standing, so to speak.

When Lennon, McCartney and Harrison learned that Martin and the engineers preferred replacing Best with a session drummer for their upcoming recording session, they considered using it as a pretext to permanently sack Best from the group

They broke up so he didn't really want to leave. Even after the break up he got to play with some of the other members.
