Their is a shark species called Tiger sharks because of its tiger-like pattering
British -- The "Tiger Shark" was the British name for the American-made Curtis-Wright P-40. The Americans called the P-40 the "Warhawk". The New Zealand flew it and called it the "Kittyhawk". Of course, before the US entered war with Japan, it sent some P-40's to China where they were flown by American pilots in the squadron known as the "Flying Tigers". (Maybe you are confusing this name with "Tiger Shark" as the Flying Tigers painted 'sharks teeth' on the nose of their planes. That is 4 countries. What is amazing to me is that many examples of the P-40 survived the war as compared to other American airplanes. That makes you think that they got too old and were retired but that doesn't seem to be the case as many countries used them. Planes are from your enemies you have to jump and press z then you will destroy them down in the water
The original Flying Tigers were a group of Americans who volunteered and signed a contract with the Chinese Government to fly (and others worked as mechanics, etc) and fight the Japanese who were invading their country. This was before the US declared war, so these Americans were not in the US Army. After the US entered the war, some of these American volunteers joined the American Army. They formed an official unit within the US Army that was known as the Flying Tigers and also painted the shark's mouth on their fighters. Also the 14th Air Force adopted the flying tiger as their unit insignia.
