The KKK was formed because some white Americans were worried about losing their way of life to the different cultures that were coming in with the immigrants and African-Americans that were coming to America. The people that joined the KKK wanted to put these "threats" back in their places and show them that white, Anglo-Saxon Americans were the prominent race.
