It forced the government and the people to take full responsibility for WWI, because they were forced to take the title of "loser" in WWI. In reality, nobody really prevailed in WWI. Germany was just the first to sue for peace, and therefore, they were the first to give up. The government gave up, not the people, and so the people wanted to know why they had to pay for a war that they didn't lose or really start. They had to pay reparations but couldn't keep up with them so France took occupation of the ruhr which caused unemployment for Germans living in the ruhr. They made more money to pay theses people but it became worthless creating hyperinflation. This led to major riots and extreme political groups rebelling.

Because it made Germany pay back the European countries, this in turn made the currency worthless. This in turn led to a new leader (Hitler) who told Germans that they were Superior and not like the rest of the greedy Europeans. This led to WWII in which cost Germany many lives and pride, not to mention the death of 6 million Jews. Hence Treaty of Versailles would lead to bitterness.

It forced Germany to pay for the war. This caused Germany to be extremely poor, seeing how the war was extremely expensive. Germans were also highly embarrassed to be blamed for the war. Germany's ego was severely damaged because they were filled nationalism. Germany was at the perfect time for someone to step up and refill the Germans with pride in their country. They needed someone to tell them how great they were and tell them that he or she could help rebuild the country's economy. Adolf Hitler saw this and took full advantage of it.

They were mad about Article 231, the so called War Guild clause, which declared Germany was responsible for starting World War I.

Hope this helped!

Germany had issues with money, trying everything to get it. Once they made the value of a mark(German currency) so low it was less than a penny. so Hitler kept making weapons to help money issues

The Treaty of Versailles angered the Germans because it was grossly unfair for them. It required them to except the sole responsibility for starting WWI, and said they needed to pay the Allied Nations £6.6billio, which would have taken them until 1988 to pay. I'd be pretty cheesed of, wouldn't you?
