To get to Asia from Europe one had to sail round the horn of Africa. This was a long way, a dangerous voyage and expensive.
However there was a hope that one could get to Asia by sailing the other way round the world and that this would be a shorter better rout. What was not realized was that the world was much bigger than they thought and that America was in the way.
Unfortunately, disadvantages were also present. Threats like pirates, storms and mutiny were serious, but were taken for granted in the light of the benefits of travelling over sea.

they had trouble with the route and they were caught by the pirates . also they faced many hardships.
Asia's good can't get to he europeans because of the Muslims so they have to look for a route that they can trade with the Asia directly. if they can find that route then they wont hav o deal with the Muslims.The Christian Europeans did no like the situation, since region and politics. The Europeans wanted a sea route to Asia because of trade.
