Jason Todd is a former Robin that went insane, thanks to the Joker's tortures. Edit: Tim Drake was the Robin that went insane from the Joker's tortures, not Jason Todd. Jason Todd, the second Robin, was brutally beaten to death with a crow bar by the Joker. In later canon, he is resurrected and returns as the "Red Hood". Jason, upon coming back from the dead, harbors resentment for Batman not avenging his cruel death. He particularly doesn't get along with Dick (the assumed Robin in Teen Titans) and is seen as an "Anti Hero" because of his questionable morals (he's willing to kill criminals, against Batman's will).
