∙ 14y agoIn March 1920 the Treaty of Versailles came fully into effect. The treaty limited the size of the German army to 100,000 men, and the German government ordered the unsavoury Marine-Brigade-Ehrhardt, a large Freikorps, to disband. Instead, it (and some other Friekorps) marched on Berlin.
