The show is no longer in production, and has been replaced with 'Kate Plus 8' - a new show focusing exclusively on Kate Gosselin and her children.

∙ 8y agoJon and Kate Plus 8 ceased production in 2010 as the marriage of Jon and Kate Gosselin struggled and eventually ended in divorce. In the wake of the show, the couple did not agree on production issues and the show was halted while they worked out some details. A few months later, TLC introduce a new spin featuring just Kate and the children - without Jon Gosselin's involvement.
Kate Plus 8 continues to reappear seasonally with highlights of the children's lives, celebrations and holidays.

Jon Gosselin stopped filming of the show. TLC always said if any one (1) member of the Gosselin family wanted to stop the show.. they would bring 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' to an end.
Kate thought it was best for the kids to continue film , where Jon does not.
Jon apparently does not want his kids to be filmed, and has suspended filming of 'Jon & Kate Plus 8'. He has lawyers who are trying to stop the show. Some people believe this is due to TLC's announcement of their intention to repackage the show as 'Kate Plus 8'.
The first episode of "Kate Plus 8' aired on June 6, 2010.

There is no end in sight for the Gosselins, their reality TV experience, or the publics fascination with this family.
