She was once a slave herself so she knew how it felt. She escaped but left her family behind. She swore she would go back for her family. She was brave. So, she successfully freed her family and 300 other slaves also. :)
Hope i helped! :)

Harriet Tubman was known for helping several slaves excape slavery (including herself) by the underground railroad. She led them to freedom by guiding them to safe houses along the way until they made it up north, she used songs, calls, and other things as a source of communication so that they wouldn't be caught. She rescued her family and many others as well. she also helped the freed slaves find jobs and homes for themselves..harriet Tubman was known for helping several slaves escape slavery including herself by means of the underground railroad. Even when slavery was legal in parts of the US there were always people who believed that slavery is immoral, and that slaves deserve to be freed, so the underground railway was organized to help slaves to escape.
They built an underground railroad because all the slaves wanted to escape to freedom.
The underground railroad wasn't built; it wasnt an actual under the earth railroad at all. No even a train railroad. The underground railroad refers to secret paths enslaved African Americans had used in order to escape to the north. It was "underground" as in a kind of secret path, much like there are underground clubs and things like that. It was called a railroad just because it was using a train kind of system. Individuals rarely used the path alone. Groups were often "trained" from safehouse to safehouse by other slaves, and sympathetic whites, usually during the night.

Harriet Tubman escaped from slavery in 1849, fleeing from Maryland to Philadelphia, PA.
Receiving some aid from abolitionists there, she returned almost immediately to rescue her family. Then, over the course of 10 years, she returned more than a dozen times, helping relatives and their fellow slaves to escape bondage using the "Underground Railroad" system of safe houses set up by Northern sympathizers. After the passage of the Fugitive Slave Act (1850), she took some ex-slaves to Canada so they could not be recaptured.
Harriet Tubman did not start the Underground railroad, she was just one of many who helped slaves escape to freedom.

I believe that they sang and/or danced, in the underground railroad
Yes, he was the superintendent of the Underground Railroad.
Yes he was a conductor in the Underground Railroad. We read it in the book "The Story of the Underground Railroad" by R. Conrad Stein
The Underground Railroad wasn't an actual railroad; therefore, it didn't have any conductors. Metaphorically, you could consider Harriet Tubman a conductor of the Underground Railroad.
The 'passengers' of the Underground Railroad were enslaved African Americans and 'conductors' were abolitionists(people against slavery). But remember, the Underground Railroad wasn't underground and wasn't an actual railroad
There was never an actual underground railroad. The underground railroad refers to the process used to free slaves during slavery.
