It was AT THAT TIME and AT THAT PASSOVER of that year, that the prophecy that was the Passover would be fulfilled in Him, according to His Father's plan.
"...for even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us..." (I Cor.5:7).
He had either hidden and/or escaped from attempts on His life on other occasions during the previous three years, because Satan had been trying to influence men to kill Him before it was the right time. But, God's will was done.
Jesus is the "center" of all seven of God's annual Holy Day feasts, beginning with the Passover (which is not a feast, but a "memorial," 'this do in remembrance of Me')... and each of them will be fulfilled WHEN IT'S THE RIGHT TIME on whatever day they fall, according to scripture, just like the Passover, the feast days of Unleavened Bread that began that next day, and Pentecost, the day the Apostles received the gift of the Holy Spirit on the actual day it was to be observed by law.
But, no one knows which year Jesus will fulfill the last four. Nor will He hide when the time comes.
