because she realizes that she has loved Peeta all along. Also, she realizes that Peeta is just what she needs to survive. They have protected eachother for years. She figures out that she needs someone to steady her, and keep her calm. But Gale only brought more hatred, rage, and fire. Plus, Gale just moved to district 2 when he got a job there without consideration without even telling Katniss, while Peeta has stayed by her side through it all. Hope this helped (:

What will happen with Annie and Finnick? Does Peeta remember how he loved Katniss so much and will he ever be able to love her again? What happens between Katniss and Gale? Do Katniss and Johanna ever become friends? Does Katniss really love Peeta? Not all of these examples have to do with straight up action but they all keep you guessing!
