Why didn't the Allies keep Germany from re-arming after World War 1?
They were certainly naive about that one. The idea was that economic sanctions should have made it difficult enough to re-arm. Then some of the more liberal European nations didn't really want to follow through on requirements that Germany not re-arm. The result was, nobody was inspecting Germany and the sanctions coupled with GLOBAL the economic crash of the 30's resulted in a very disgruntled German population. Hitler made promises, blamed the German problems on everybody else then proceeded to fund his war on the graves of Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals and anyone else that he determined to be "inferior". After WW2, the rest of the world was so determined to keep Germany from re-arming that they made certain that the nation was split into 3 parts. It wasn't until relatively recently that Germany was re-united.
Germany didnt! The biggest empire the world has ever seen is the British Empire,it was the biggest empire in the world by far! Improved: your right, Germany didnt have the biggest empire. Britain did. they owned a quarter of the world, and also, a quarter of its population. Germany were jealous of Britain and this contributed to the long term causes of world war one ! =)
Russia had a large impact on the allied side during world war one. The first, and most obvious, is man power. Russia had an army of over nine million during the war. The shere size of the army was enough to help the allies. They also helped by having large military success against austria-hungary. they didnt have as much success against germany, but that didnt really matter. they punched a hole in austria hungary's defense…
Well the war started in 1939 when Germany invaded Poland. To avoid war with Russia from the beginning Hitler made a deal with Russia. So at the beginning of the war Russia didnt come in. (They did come in in 1941 when Germany invaded them) Britain and France were allies with Poland so they declared war on Germany. The US didnt come in until 1942 so the US is a no and Italy was a…
They thought giving in to Hitler would satisfy Hitler so much that he would stop. Hitler had a right to defend his country and the allies did not know that the main German army was being made and trained in Russia. Hilter asked for land that the populace said they wanted to be part of Germany or places that had German majorities.
The British and French could not of rearmed in the 1930s as there populations were infavour of neutrality and many fealt guilt over Versallies. Others wanted to use Hitler as a bulwark against Stalin. Rearming would of also made America even more Isolationist, and forced Russia and Germany closer together.
In world war two, Russia was our allies. They helpled us defeat the Central Powers (Germany and such) but they didnt recall their troops from foreign lands, i.e. Germany, China, Korea. So these troops, which were communist because of Russia (the Soviet Union) were seeds that changed these areas to a communist government. And well you know the rest. Eventually, its communists versus good old U.S.A.
Yes they could stop hitler before ww2 when they know that germany was increasing it militar y size, if they attacked hitler before ww2 then the 2nd world war would never happend. Also if the soviets didnt made the Nazi-soviet pact then the soviets could still invade germany and cutting the totsl death toll in the europe 2nd world war by 83%
