He became a traitor to American becasue he was angry that the American government court-marshaled him because they thought her was using the Army's resources for his own personal use and he was in debt and the British payed him alot of money to become a British spy.

Was William Wallace buried at berwick?

Part of him. Wether it was a leg or arm sent to Berwick is not known. nor is it known where said disembodied limb went to after being sent there. So while it was probably buried, it could as easily have been thrown in a midden.

How did Benedict Arnold mother die?

Well she jumped really high and tried to touch a cloud, but she missed the cloud and accidently touched the moon. Then, she pulled out a chunk of it and bit it. It tasted rotten so she touched the Sun instead. She had severe burn injuries on he face and left arm up to her shoulder blade. She then jumped back down and hit a plane, leaving her with no leg. Abraham Lincoln, her long lost cousin from the future, then warped under her and caught her. She was okay. But later, she was stitching the American flag with Betsy Ross and pricked herself with the sewing needle. Her cat, Mitzie, then licked the blood, thinking it was food and died. Hannah Arnold was so upset that she jumped into The Death Star where she met Darth Vader. She said, "TIGER BLOOD" and jumped into outer space. She fell into the signing of the Declaration of Independence and signed her name with invisible ink. (By the way, her leg grew back as a horse leg) She later died of old age.

Why was benidict ardnold a traitor?

Well, there was no US at the time. Benedict Arnold was a general in the Continental Army. He was a good general, a good leader, and a hero at the Battle of Saratoga. So why did he do it? The most sensible explanation I have heard is that Arnold simply wanted to have Major John Andre framed as a spy. Arnold's wife was a Tory (a supporter of the British), and Major Andre was paying a little too much attention to her. Arnold used the defense plans for West Point to lure Andre, but the plan backfired when General Washington found out about it, and then Arnold had no choice but to change sides. Andre was hanged, something that Arnold apparently wanted anyway, but Arnold may not have planned on becoming a traitor to the American cause. He may have ruined himself with a personal act of revenge.

What did Benedict Arnold to to become a traitor?

Benedict Arnold became a traitor because he did not agree with America. He was a great general and will always be remembered. Benedict Arnold was dissatisfied with his treatment by the Congress and other army officers, feeling he was not getting the recognition he deserved for his part in major battles, like the one at Saratoga. He then approached the British with a plan to turn over the American fort at West Point, New York to the British. West Point was extremely important to the colonists because it commanded the Hudson River and prevented British warships from sailing down from Canada and cutting the New England colonies off from the rest of the colonies. When the plan was found out, he escaped to England and became an officer in the British army. At Saratoga, Arnold had played a major role in the winning of the battle and was even wounded in the leg. Horatio Gates took the honors though. Later, a comment was made by colonial soldiers about Arnold to the effect that if they ever caught him,he would be hanged as a traitor but that the leg that was wounded at Saratoga would be cut off and buried with full military honors. He was considered a traitor in 1779.

Was Benedict Arnold friends with the British?

Not originally. Benedict Arnold was an an American hero and one of America's best generals. After the capture of Fort Ticonderoga he came within a hair of capturing Canada. At the Battle of Saratoga his horse was shot from under him and he was wounded in the leg by a British musket ball. After he was discredited (an event which remains controversial to this day), Arnold had little choice but to ally himself with the British, as a hangman's rope awaited him if he returned to the American side. The British made him a general in their army, but other British generals did not like him or trust him, as they regarded him a traitor to the American side.
