Jehovah's Witnesses as Christians, do NOT worship Jesus; never have / never will. We worship only Jehovah God, the Almighty, the Creator, the Father of Jesus.

I think others worship Jesus, because most in the mainstream religions, have bought into the Trinity concept.

The Israelites, from whom we learn about Jehovah; they did not worship a Trinity. The early Christians didn't either. But as genuine Christianity got further away from the powerful influence of the apostles; those early 'church fathers' (as they are called by mainstreamers); they started debating things. Some resisted the pagan-origin things; while others introduced one thing after another. First came one 'creed' (we should say 'human creed' since it was not a creed in the Bible); then they added things into another creed; until finally the Trinity was fully developed; but has conveniently remained a 'mystery' among them. Everyone else buys into it; except for Jehovah's people. We have broken away from the 'mainstreamers'. We don't worship Jesus. We don't worship an 'eternal tormenting' god. We don't worship a 3-in-1 god.

Another Answer:

The question has a false comparison. Christians do and should worship Jesus as the Son of God. That is who He became for mankind - lowering Himself from divine Glory to fully man and begotten of the Father as the Son of God/Son of Man. And in that there is no problems. However, many 'christian-in-name-only' or 'CINOs' are like many other people of faith - they accept their family tradition or what their churches teach and do not bother the search the Scripture for answers as it tells us to do. A recent survey found that 54% of Christians in the U.S.A. cannot name the first five Books of the Bible; 46% say they read the Bible only once/twice a year; 60% cannot name the Four Gospels; and 63% cannot name more than five of the Ten Commandments. Sad isn't it?

Throughout the Gospel, Jesus is recorded as telling all to 'Focus' on the Father who He said is greater than He is. All the Apostles did and you can read it in their writings. He tells Satan during His temptation:

Matthew 4:4New King James Version (NKJV)

4 But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'"[a]

Footnotes:

  1. Matthew 4:4 Deuteronomy 8:3

Teaching us to pray He begins by telling us to call upon 'Our Father' and no one else (Luke 11:2). But this is where people go to either extreme erroneously - never worshipping Jesus or only worshipping Jesus and putting Him first. We are told that Jesus is our 'Mediator' (an integral part of our communications process with our FOCUS on the Father) and became such at a great price at the desire of the Father (John 3:16), willingly for mankind. Therefore, we are told God the Father has put all things under Jesus' control and by going through Him, we glorify the Father who is the ultimate divine Being (suggest reading all of John chapters 14-17).

John 14:13New King James Version (NKJV)

13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

There is another false teaching that lends fuel for this erroneous teaching of Jesus only. Far too many Christians have the distorted idea that God the Father is the vengeful God of the Old Testament, and Jesus Christ came to shield us from the Father's wrath. Totally erroneous view as again John 3:16 plainly puts down. And the Apostle Paul to the Gentiles clearly tells us the God of the OT and the only divine member of the God Family mankind has interacted with was the Word who later became Jesus the Christ (the Rock of 1 Corinthians 10:4). In reality, there is no difference in the love the Father and the Son have for us:

1 John 4:8New King James Version (NKJV)

8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

In The Bible it shows Jesus and Jehovah are two separate people. In the bible it Say's god sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ also know as the messiah, They also say that Jesus said he had come to earth to do the will of the father the one who sent him. It is because Jesus died for us that today many will be saved when the great tribulation comes "the true believer's. It will be just as said in the bible Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eye's, and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore, the former things have passed away". I think the reason some view them as one is because they were raised on different beliefs.

Can you worship Jesus?

Whether you accept that you can worship Jesus depends on your religious beliefs. Only those who accept that Jesus is God, as Christians do, will feel that they can worship Jesus. What some might find confusing is that we do not worship Jesus by going to a specific place, or performing specific rituals. The worship the Jesus commands is enacted internally and expressed externally - so someone who wishes to worship Jesus will serve fellow Christians and non-Christians. The nature of this service may differ, but ultimately a person doing good deeds to honour God and Jesus is worshipping Jesus by doing that.
