Why do I have a period every 14 days and yet I do not ovulate?

Periods are supposed to occur every 28 days. if yours occurs every 14 days, I would see a gynocologist.

I don't think the other answer is correct, sperm lives for up to 5 days inside you and if there is sperm waiting then you have every chance of conceiving. Yes you will still ovulate as you haven't 'conceived' yet, you can't 'conceive' without an egg. Hope this helps I DON'T THINK IT IS POSSIBLE TO CONCEIVE 2 DAYS BEFORE OVULATION BECAUSE OVULATING IS THE RELEASE OF AN EGG FROM THE FALLOPIAN TUBE. IF THE EGG HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED (AS IN BEFORE OVULATION) THERE IS NOTHING FOR THE SPERM TO FERTILIZE.

You can really on get pregnant about 2-3 days out of your entire cycle. You may not have ovulated yet after stopping your pill. If you did ovulate, you may not have had sex on the appropriate day. If you did fertilize an egg, sometimes they do not implant for one reason or another. Keep trying, track your cycles and try to pinpoint when you ovulate. Have sex every other day around your ovulation time to try to maximize your chances.
