I am not sure they do. However, the Christians have historically blamed the Jews for killing Christ and in ages past this was used an excuse to persecute the Jews.

Given this history there would be room for enmity but in our modern world we can surely all hopefully make room for people and their beliefs.

Jewish View

Typically, Jews do not like those who would wish them ill. For many centuries, Christians through the Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, and Eastern Churches demonized and violently attacked Jews, leading to hatred. However, there is no Jewish religious belief to dislike or hate Christians and Jews who have a blanket hatred of Christianity are not faithful to Jewish teachings.

Christian View

The objective of God's appearance free from the constraints of any form or country is for Him to be able to complete the work in His plan. For example, when God became flesh in Judea, His aim was to complete the work of crucifixion to redeem all mankind. Yet the Jews believed that it was impossible for God to do this, and they thought it impossible that God could become flesh and assume the form of the Lord Jesus. Their 'impossible' became the basis by which they condemned and opposed God, and ultimately led to the destruction of Israel.

Jews do not hate Christians; they actually respect Christians as individuals who have helped to spread the Truth of Monotheism to the four corners of the world.

What Jews are angry about concerning Christians, historically speaking, is the mistreatment that Christians visited on Jews from peacetime discrimination to wartime atrocities during the nearly two millenia of Christendom. Peacetime discrimination includes restrictions of where Jews could live, what professions Jews could work in, how Jews could dress, limited legal redress for Jew concerning grievances and disputes, and open Anti-Semitic promulgations. Wartime atrocities includes numerous pogroms, slaughters, and genocides that were perpetrated against Jews. However, due to the contrition and sobriety with which most Christians today deal with these historical problems and seek to improve their relations with Jews, the overwhelming majority of Jews hold no enmity towards Christians. Jews recognize that the sins of the father should not be imputed to the son.

For the most part, Jews are explicitly commanded to be cordial, helpful, respectful and circumspect in their dealings with Gentiles, and most Jews are careful about this. There are individuals within every ethnic or religious group who are in fact prejudiced, bigoted, and hateful, but it is categorically a teaching of Judaism NOT to be that way. Judaism, in fact, is a rare case in that it says that you don't even need to be an adherent in order to be considered righteous and holds that Non-Jews who adhered to the Noahide Laws are granted a place in the "World to Come" - the Jewish "good place" in the Afterlife.

That being said, Jews do harbor strong hatred towards those views and ideologies that wish them harm or support direct violence against Jews. Historically, most forms of Christianity were charged with virulent forms of Judenhass (Jew-hatred). Today, this has largely been eradicated in Christianity, but has found residence among many types of Islamic belief. However, Jews have not hated and do not now hate all Christians or all Muslims or Christianity or Islam; rather, they selectively hate those individuals and systems of belief that encourage or exacerbate Judenhass.

What you have asked is actually two different questions, which should be

treated separately:

#1). Why ?

This is the eternal question that has plagued all of humanity, from the first

semi-conscious hominid of antiquity even up to the most sagacious deep

thinkers of our own day. For me to attempt an answer to such a perennial

mystery would be as foolhardy an enterprise as it would be hopeless.

#2). Does Jews hate Christians ?

No.

I'm Jewish and I don't hate Jesus. In fact, I'm proud of the fact that he was Jewish! Not only was he born to Jewish parents, but he remained Jewish throughout his life. This is confirmed by the well-known fact that The Last Supper was a traditional Hebrew Passover celebration, referred to as a Seder. This also explains why Passover and Easter are celebrated at the same time of year.

Jews don't hate Jesus, he plays no role in Judaism and most Jews don't even think about him unless Christians mention him.

Why do some Jews hate other Jews?

Answer 1Jews are not supposed to hate anyone, but there are some Jews that only tolerate people like themselves.Answer 2There are also ...-- Conservative Jews who hate Orthodox Jews-- Reform Jews who hate Conservative Jews-- Muslims who hate all Jews-- Christians who hate all Muslims and Jews-- Catholics who hate all Protestants-- Muslims who hate all Baha'i-- Atheists who hate all believers-- Women who hate men-- Republicans who hate Democrats-- Turks who hate Greeks-- French who hate Germans-- Creationists who hate all Evolutionists-- Little kids who hate teachers-- Black people who hate whites-- White people who hate blacks-- Texans who hate Hispanics-- Drivers who hate bicycle riders-- Southerners who hate northernersand last but not least-- Methodists who hate Baptists.A lot more for inquiring minds to wonder at than simply Jews. And now that I look back on the question one more time as it fades into the sunset ...Where does the first contributor get his essential thesis: "Jews are not supposed to hate anyone." ? What does this mean ? That everyone else gets a pass for their hatred but Jews alone must answer for theirs ? Does that mean that the one who said "Love one another as I have loved you" was only speaking from his Jewish roots, but once he made the jump, he was free to leave all that behind and to enjoy hatred without guilt ?
