The Qibla is the term for the direction of prayer in Islam. The first Qibla was Jerusalem, likely to appease the Arabian Jews and convince them to join Islam. When this ploy had failed, Muhammad received a revelation that the true Qibla was in Mecca, and reoriented the Muslims to bow towards Mecca.

Now, all Muslims pray facing the direction of Kaaba in Mecca. Muslims all praying toward this location symbolizes the unity of all Muslims worldwide and under the law of God. In addition to prayer, Quibla is observed when Muslims die, their heads are turned in the direction of Mecca.

Muslims do not pray facing Saudi Arabia. As you know, Saudi Arabia is a newly formed country in the early 1900. Muslims pray towards Mecca, which is a holy city located in Saudi Arabia. This place also has al'kaaba which Muslims go and do pilgramige there.

Now your question might be, why do Muslims pray towards Mecca. This direction is called qibla. Contrary to what you may think, Muslims don't worship Mecca, they worship Allah, which is God. Mecca, is the city of Muhammed, the prophet of Islam. The reason why every Muslim prays towards Mecca is because Allah ordered them to do so. It creates a sense of unity and uniqueness to Muslims, so that Muslims may be known by the direction they are praying.

Why Muslims cannot be buried in a Christian grave?

because jesus and allah are enemies. ________________________________________ The answer above is not true. Allah (or God in English) is the same God in Judaism and Christianity and you find God is written as Allah in the Arabic Bible versions. Allah (or God) is the creator of Jesus so how they are enemies? Muslims can't be buried in Christian graves because the body should be facing the Kaaba (in Mecca) direction.
