Us humans harm the animals shelter (home) by cutting down trees that birds live in, and many other animals live in the woods or forests that we cut down. So therefore we are harming their shelter (home).

Most animal shelters don't abuse animals. It depends on what you are defining as abuse. Animal shelters have much better adoption rates then they did years ago so less animals have to be euthanized due to overcrowding. Although by abuse if you mean neglect or physical abuse then that is extremely rare. My last dog I adopted from a small animal control shelter. When I adopted him he was very sick. He was emaciated, he had ear infections, kennel cough, had never been to the vet, and he had been beaten frequently by his old owners. He was only six moths old and his old owners had not only severely underfed him but they didn't feed him puppy food or even dog food. He only was given small amounts of table scraps. I know this information because the owners told the shelter this. The shelter tried to do the best they could with him with the limited resources they had. I don't think that the shelter realized exactly how sick he really was though. They did take him to the vet but he only got his shots. I have volunteered at many animal shelters, the rescues I my animals came from, and the no kill shelter that works with my schools veterinary program all give their animals the best care that they can. I have no doubt that all of the shelters and rescues that I have come across all genuinely care about their animals well-being. I think that the real animal neglect and abuse happens in puppy mills (large scale breeding facilities that breed for quantity instead of quality) and research laboratories.

Which animal shelters have a no kill animal policy?

In my opinion, yes. Animals should not be killed if they can't get adopted. Put it this way, if you were in a foster home and you couldn't get adopted, would you want to be killed? No, so why should the shelters kill the animals? Exactly, they shouldn't because that is called abuse. So final answer: All animal shelters should become no-kill animal shelters.
