It depends: if you have a female dog that has puppies the puppies will drink the breast milk from the mother but the mother still drinks water. if you have a puppy and not its mother either call the vet and buy special milk or just give it water.
For cats, I would make sure toilets that are not being used should be flushed at all times. for both kittens with or without their mother give them warm milk. Weaned kittens and adult cats should be given water, or formulated kitten milk. Cats of all ages should not drink cow's milk as it can make them sick.
Actually it depends on the cat because my cat only likes water but there are many cats that love the taste of milk. However, just because they like it doesn't mean they should be given milk all the time. Adult cats do not get any nutrition from milk and cannot digest the lactose, and cow's milk in particular causes some cats to be sick.
If you wish to give milk to a cat, do it in very, very small amounts on occasion, if your cat can tolerate it. There are also specially formulated milks for cats and kittens that have no lactose in and have added vitamins. These can be found in any pet shop or store.
They love the taste of it. Milk is full of fat, which cats find highly palatable. However, adult cats do not need to drink milk and get no nutrition from it. Cow's milk should be avoided as many cats cannot digest the lactose found in it.
Some cats can drink regular milk, but most vomit and/or have diarrhea if you give them it. It is better to give them evaporated milk. A few cats don't have an allergic reaction, and you can test them by giving them a small amount of regular milk. If they have an allergic reaction, stop and if they still want milk give them evaporated. If they don't, you may give them small amounts of regular milk occasionally. As for whether it is good for them, once cats reach over the age of one, or become an adult, they do not need milk. It is more of a treat, a reward. Hope this helps. :)
Cats not only do not need to drink milk, they should never be given any milk (unless it is specially formulated milk formula for cats) as they are unable to digest lactose and will get sick!
well for everyday drinking put down fresh water but do every day give your cat some milk but please use cat milk because normal milk doesn't agree with their stomachs and they get diarriah
It's best that you don't feed your cats milk because most of not all) cats are lactose intolerant.
Yes, but it is not good for them.
They should be given a fresh bowl of water daily. Cows' milk is actually hard for cats to digest and can cause diarrhea in cats.
Cats are not made to drink milk. Except only when they are very young and they get the milk from their mother. So I advise you not to feed milk to cats; only water.
Cats mostly drink water and milk. You can feed them whatever, but make sure the cats cannot die from it.
Special cat milk that is especially designed for them is best. If you give them human milk they get an upset stomach. Cat milk isn't that expensive and its not hard to get hold of either. :)
Yes. I have a few and they drink milk.
They mainly drink water, but some cats drink milk too.
all mammals drink milk from their mothers. its very obvious. i mean, we are mammals and when we were little, we drank milk.
yes cats con drink human milk
It is easy to presume that the majority of cats will prefer milk to water. Milk is naturally high in fat and other nutrients, which is why cats will readily drink milk. However, it is not ideal to give cats cow's milk, or any other milk that has lactose in. Most cats are lactose intolerant, and can cause upset stomachs and diarrhoea. Speciality formulated cat milk can be found in most stores, and because they are free of lactose, are perfectly safe for a cat to drink.
Cats are carnivores, so it is ideal to find a brand of cat food that has a lot of meat in. Cats, even domestic ones, do not need vegetables or grains. Cats drink water; DO NOT GIVE THEM MILK! Milk makes a least a 5-month-old cat sick. Only kittens should drink their mother's milk. Never give a kitten or cat cow's milk.
it means she needs to drink more water or milk.
Yes, if you give it to them. They'd probably prefer milk and water though.
