The nucleus is positively charged, composed of neutrons and protons. The electrons are negatively charged and opposites attract. So there are competing forces - centrifugal and electromagnetic and they keep the electrons in orbit.

Both electrons and electron cloud are same.In early times electron was treated as a particle but now we know that it has a dual nature i.e it can also behave as a wave too.It is called particle-wave duality. so when we look at electron we see a wave is moving, but due to uncertainty we don't know its velocity or speed so we see it as a "cloud" in some physical and mathematical sense and assume that particle electron is some here inside that cloud.

If you are referring to the electron 'cloud' around the nucleus of an atom, the electrons stay in it because they are attracted by the nucleus (they have a negative charge while the nucleus has a positive charge, and opposite charges attract).

The electron is a very small particle and because of this you need to to use quantum mechanics to describe its position and energy. The electron is a particle whose position is determined by a probability function, sometimes called a wave function. Heisenberg's uncertainty principle applies to small particles, in simple terms if you know the energy you don't know exactly where it is if you know where it is then you don't know the energy. The cloud concept used to help students understand this is actually a 3D representation of the probability of finding an electron with a particular energy.
