I don't really think cats hate each other as many do get along but mostly i think its Territorial issues like them argueing over who owns what bit of land. also they fight for Social ranking so whos the leader or they fight simply that another cat has anoyed it for some reason.
Usually when you see two cats "hating" each other it is also because they are of the same sex. The above answer is really good.
