Why do we use electricity?

Electricity is used in an extraordinarily broad variety of ways. It finds application in domestic and commercial settings, as well a strong use in the industrial facilities that support our lifestyles. We use electricity as meanings of gaining on-the-spot access to (electrical) energy that can be changed into mechanical energy by motors. We use electric motors in thousands and thousands of items from tools and machinery to appliances to entertainment equipment. We light the heck out of our world using electric power. It's a huge application.

Electricity is something many of us take for granted. It is "behnid the scenes" in propping up the infrastructure of modern society. We light areas we use. Heat and cool places where we work and live. We ship, store, vend and prepare food with electricity. We work and relax using technology that is electrically powered.

Imagine a world without electricity. Get a small notepad and log each event every day that involves something you did that required electricity. It could be either direct application like lighting a room or working on a computer, or indirect, like using something that was manufactured using electricity. Our lives are powered up either directly or indirectly by electricity. Grabbing a backpack and hiking off Into the Woods is about the only way to get away from it. Oh, and leave behind all the things that were manufactured using electricity. Like you pack. And your equipment and packaged food and water. And your clothing.

The reason we use electricity is to do work. The work allows us to accomplish necessary things more easily, and to do things we like that cannot be done by other means. Let's look at just some of the things we use electric power for, and why.

We have to eat, and the agricultural and food products industry would be thrown back centuries if we did not have electric power to produce and refine food and food products. We use electric power to store and prepare the food, too, and electricity helps to move the food in a number of ways. Further, electricity is a people mover, as in electric trains, elevators and even escalators.

Without electricity, care of our clothing would be extremely difficult. We also use electricity as a source of energy to light our world. And we recreate ourselves with electricity, as TVs, computers and all those handheld gadgets we use would not work without a power source. These are some of the more obvious examples.

humans don't need electricity they use it because its a luxury like excessive food and cable humans can survive without electricity all though its become a very common "necessity" but as people learn in schools i hope that civilizations before survived with out electricity but i could be wrong who knows what kids learn in schools these days lol

seriously. We need it because without it we wouldn't be able to turn on a light cook or probably not even turn on you water no more showers no more TV or computers so yeah we NEED electricity
