I would not pinch anyone regardless of what color they are wearing.
You have to be wearing something green like a green shirt or pants in order to be pinch free. Barrets and jewlery do not count. If someone pinches you and you are wearing green you get to pinch them back 10 times, the same will be for you so beware! Otherwise you can just pinch anyone that does not have green on. Happy pinching!
They get to pinch you back!
pinch them
This is actually an American tradition that started in the 1700's. It was believed if you wore green you would be invisible to the Leprechauns. A pinch was a reminder that you were not wearing green and therefore visible to the Leprechauns.
The leprechauns are known to pinch. If you are not wearing green, traditionally, you will be (friendly/playfully) pinched. No harm in that, just don't go all out pinch crazy!
Kick them in the face, and say, "I did not hit you, I merely high fived your face."
One time only!
No, if you break a mirror you will have 7 years of bad luck. If you pinch a girl, you will get your face slapped. If you pinch a guy, you will get your nose broken.
legend says wearing green makes one "invisible" to leprechauns, and apparently, these magical tricksters will pinch anyone who isn't wearing green in honor of the holiday. Nowadays, people simply pinch each other on St. Patrick's Day more as a cute reminder that they are still visible, and are potentially in danger of even more pinches.
If you are not wearing green you can be pinched by someone who is.
If you are wearing a very minimal amount of green, such as part of a sock, necklace, earring, bracelet, etc, it does not count, and you will rightfully get pinched. However, if you wear a completely green shirt, necklace, bracelet, earring, etc, and it's just hidden (not on purpose, mind you), then if someone pinches you, you are permitted to pinch them back.
