Was the biblical David a psalmist?
Scholars generally believe that the Psalms were written by anonymous authors around the middle of the first millennium BCE, long after the time attributed to David. However, a majority of the Psalms are traditionally attributed to David. ADDITIONALLY Many of the Psalms themselves include the name of David as being the writer composer. For example, at the end of the fourth Psalm, it says in many translations: "To the director for Ne´hi·loth. A melody of David."

How many epistles are attributed to Paul?
Thirteen epistles are generally attributed to Paul: 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, Galatians, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Philippians, Philemon and Romans, as well as 2 Thessalonians, Ephesians, Colossians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy and Titus. The latter six epistles are sometimes referred to as pseudo-Pauline epistles and scholars believe them to have been entirely unknown to St Paul. Hebrews was also attributed to Paul late in the second century, but this is clearly not the case.
Did Moses leave any written record?
Answer As far as we know, Moses never left a written record, in fact most scholars do not believe that the events associated with Moses even happened. The first five books of the Bible, known to Christians as the Pentateuch, are traditionally said to have been written by Moses, but the internal evidence indicates otherwise, and scholars say that these books were really written many centuries after the time attributed to Moses.

Where was Psalm 32 written?
Psalm 32 is traditionally attributed to King David, and on that basis would probably have been written in Jerusalem during the tenth century BCE. However, many scholars believe that the psalms were written during and after the Babylonian Exile, in which case Psalm 32 may have been written in Babylon, or perhaps in Jerusalem after the return. We simply do not know.

Did David write psalms to Jonathan?
Most of the psalms are traditionally attributed to Kings David and Solomon, written in Jerusalem during the tenth century BCE. However, many scholars believe that the psalms were really written during and after the Babylonian Exile, not by David and Solomon at all. They were a literary genre that did not exist at the time attributed to King David. On this evidence, David did not write a psalm to Jonathan. While David wrote many Psalms, he did so to praise or express repentance to God, and did not write them to other humans. There is only a lament for Jonathan recorded in 2 Samuel 1.
Who wrote Psalm 142?
Psalm 142 is traditionally attributed to King David, while he was hiding in the cave. However, scholars say that the psalms are a genre unknown at the time attributed to David. They say that they were written many centuries later, during and after the Babylonian Exile. The author was anonymous, probably living during the darkest times of the Babylonian Exile.
