Most people do not believe that the world is coming to an end until billions of years from now when the sun goes nova and burns up the earth.
The end of the world in 2012 is just some nonsense that only few nut jobs think is real. These are the same people who thought the world was coming to an end in June 2011.
Out of 7 billion people on the planet, only a handful think that the world is coming to an end this year, and that is because there are always mental cases who think that the end of the world is coming soon.
Next year is 2013. Because 13 is considered unlucky, there will probably be idiots who think that the world is coming to an end next year as well.
Same with the year 2014, 2015, 2016, and so forth. There will always be idiots who believe the world is coming to an end for some stupid reason.
