∙ 13y agoPeople get addicted to drugs because if they use the drug for a while they become dependent on the drug. If you are used to doing drugs and living with them in your system than people can become so dependent that they cannot function without them. It is so much better to stay far away from all drugs unless prescribed by a trusted and liscensed doctor. If you don't need them than don't use them and usually it is not the tobacco that people get addicted to, it is the nicotine that is in the cigarettes that get people addicted to them. Nicotine is a very deadly substance it can kill you very easily. Stay away from cigarettes and cigars they are slow killers and they don't just kill the smoker, they kill everyone else around the smoker also.
