Because there are beautiful beaches, rainforests, volcanoes, and a lot of old colonial towns and monuments (especially in the lovely city of Granada). The people are very laid back and friendly. The Surfing's amazing and so is the fresh seafood. You get more bang for your buck by visiting Nicaragua over Mexico or Costa Rica. My buddies and I try to go every year.
