The adrenaline-rush from watching a scary movie releases endorphins, the body's natural 'happy drug', into the bloodstream - essentially, scary movies make people feel good, and as long as people are buying the tickets and spending their money, the companies will keep making the movies.

∙ 8y agoThe horrid images that you see would send nerve cells from what you see to your brain and shock the body, which means that the movie is scary, It will make you feel restless. It also may cause trauma and sleeplessness. I have personally experienced this once after watching conjuring on HBO. Couldn't sleep well that night and had nausea and vomiting the next day.
