Vishnu, is the the Ultimate God of Hindus , he is all

pervading, the ultimate essence of existence of the universe. As per Upanishads, and Bhagavath

Gita , he is the supreme Adi pursha , one who has neitherbeginningOR end.

He is the preserver of the Universe.

He is the Head of all deities . Vishnu take different avatars like Rama, Krishna .. from time to time tomaintain/ preservehis creation .

THE REASONS FOR WORSHIPPING VISHNU:To understand why Hindus worship Vishnu we must know the seven basic Hindu gods.

They are,

1. Indra

2. Shakti

3. Brahma

4. Vishnu

5. Shiva

6. Shani

7. Yama.

THE REASONS FOR SELECTING VISHNU:

1. Vishnu is the central and the default Hindu god and thus the natural choice

2. While Indra makes us stay in a dream world and Yama, in the real world, Vishnu keeps us at the junction of the two. Thus, unlike any other Hindu god, Vishnufacilitates both thinking and actions equally.

3. While Indra makes life flaccid and Yama makes life rigid, Vishnu makeslife flexible. It is for this reason that Vishnu is associated with water.

4. Being the central god, Vishnu enables us to get a glimpse of the nature of all the seven Hindu gods. Therefore, Vishnu is the supreme god of ordinary Hindus, who can't afford to appease Brahman, the factually supreme Hindu god.

5. Being the central god, Vishnu is the most complicated Hindu god. If a Hindu finds Vishnu not totally satisfactory or too complicated, then they can worship one of his incarnations. Thus, Hindus who want to be materialistic can worship Krishna. Those who want to lead a disciplined and satisfied life can select Rama.

Thus, Vishnu gives more freedom than any other Hindu god.

6. Vishnu is the preserver and stabilizes life and abolishes fluctuations in it.

7. Lakshmi, the consort of Vishnu, too is as omnipotent as Vishnu.

Thus, Hindus worship Vishnu because he gives more freedom and more control in life than any other Hindu god.
