1). Plants use the soil for anchorage
2). The soil particles act to trap water between them allowing the plant to draw water from it
3). Depending on the coarseness of the soil particles the soil is able to contain air pockets in it allowing for the uptake of Oxygen into the plant
4). The nature of the soil allows nutrients and minerals to be attached to them, enabling the plant access to a ready store of nutrient "food"
5). To help them grow the minerals and nutrients help it grow instead of helping it die.
Plants grow in soil because the soil holds everything they need like:
- nutrients
- oxygen
- water
Soil has lots of pores that hold all of the things above. It's harder for a plant to grow in sand.
That is were they get most of their nutrients. Its kind of like why fish need water. :D
Plants depend on soil for moisture, nutrients, protection from atmospheric pollution and temperature extremes, and shelter for growth and [in the case of adventitious roots] reproduction.
The soil depend on the vegetations.
Soil is important because it provides a place where micro - organisms and bacteria can live. Plants rely on soil for nutrients, water and mineral salts. If there was no soil, there would be no plants which means that the air would be filled with Carbon Dioxide and there would not be any oxygen.
Topsoil is generally best, however soil type and quality will depend largely on the types of crops you're raising. Soil PH is a big factor in determining which plants will do well in your climate and soil type.
humans need soil to grow trees to get oxygen and where would we be without oxygen and soil helps plants grow and not all plants need soil air plants do not need soil.
Loam is the best soil for many plants. But some plants prefer rocky or sandy soil.
Plants depend on soil to live and grow, Humans & Animals depend on those plants.
Plants need soil to grow. Animals either eat plants, or eat animals that ate plants. No soil, no food.
it may depend on what plant it is. But usually yes they do need soil.
Plants require minerals and water from the soil, sunlight for photosyntesis.
The type of soil that plants grow better in will depend on the type of plant. Universally, all plants will require a type of soil that drains well, is rich in nutrients and has a proper pH.
Bacteria change the consistency of the soil. That is they normally change the form in which nitrogen exists in the soil. This make it possible for plants to absorb all the right nutrients
Lifecycle on the earth is interdependent. 1) plants get nutrient elements from the soil. 2) herbivores animals eat this plants. 3) carnivores animals depend on herbivores for food. 4) when the carnivores dies the body gets decomposed in soil IN this way they are interrelated
The soil depend on the vegetations.

It is very good for the growth of plants because it contains humus and lome .Humans indirectly depend on soil for the growth of plants which provide food to humans. Humans use soil for farming, building houses, office buildings etc .
For our plants, and for their soil. For our plants, and for their soil. For our plants, and for their soil.
Pitcher plants get their nutrients mainly from the insects that they trap. So they don't need to depend on the soil for nutrients.
