I had a rabbit once but she died, I didn't really pick her up a lot because i didn't know if she liked it or not. Some animals hate being lifted up because they don't feel comfortable or they don't trust you. Its best if you don't pick your rabbit up, for its sake.

Most rabbits don't like being picked up. Rabbits are land animals; they can't climb trees or fly, so really they have no natural reason for not being on the ground -- unless they're in the jaws or talons of a predator! For this reason, being picked up is distressing for most rabbits. This might explain the squeaking noises.

Instead of picking your bunny up, sit beside her on the ground and cuddle with her that way.

Some rabbits are more vocal than others. Some rabbits never make a sound, while others make all kinds of sounds. If you want to find out what exactly your rabbit means by his/her noises, you can read about rabbit communication (see related links and questions below), but you also have to observe your bunny over time, because there is always a degree of individuality when it comes to rabbits.

Squeaking noises are not common with rabbits. People talk about growling, grunting, oinking, cooing, thumping, purring, etc.
