Why are people so obsess with twilight the movie?

Also, the book is getting more popular because of the Twilight movie and all the new twilight merchandise coming out, so naturally, more people are reading Twilight and finding that they like the book alot.

Maybe it's because of Robert Pattinson (honestly, what do people see in him?) or because they think they're really good, but most fans of the book don't really like the movie. (Or at least I'm that way.) Either way, it's just pretty stupid. The books were okay, the movie just ruined them. I'm sure the Hollywood execs just see it as a way to make money.
