The human body has many enzymes that help break down the food you eat-
for instance
when you eat chicken the protein is broken down by an enzyme called protease
when you eat milk- the sugar in it called lactose- is broken down by lactase
When babies are born their bodies produce a large amount of lactase to digest their mother's milk/formula
As Certain people get older the amount of lactase in the body decreases-making it hard to digest milk and milk products
Some people need lactase when consuming milk products because they have an intolerance to dairy. The lactase helps them to keep from getting sick.
Some people are genetically different than others. One percent of the population is allergic to gluten and up to 15% are gluten sensitive.
It is most likely because they do not have the enzymes to digest the gluten.
because some people are allergic to gluten products or cant have them in their diets. resturants serve gluten free products so people who cant have gluten can go to their restaurants. and they will still get money!
Some people are allergic to gluten while others are not. Gluten makes people allergic to it sick with celiac.
You cant eat all plants because some are poisonous or we cant digest some. ( im not sure but its probably right!)
Some people are gluten intolerant. One of the symptoms of that is persistent bloating. When they give up gluten, the bloating goes away. Over time. So yes- for some people this is true.
No, gluten is a plant protein. Some people are allergic to it and must avoid it.
I'm fairly certain no oats are gluten free. Oats are usually ok for people who are mostly gluten free because most people have problems only with wheat gluten, not with any other glutens.
yes. gluten is a wheat protein so vegans can eat it.
Custard is normally made with milk, sugar and eggs, and so is gluten-free. However some methods of making custard, especially commercially-prepared custard, might use wheat flour and so would not be gluten-free. If you are buying custard ready-made, check the label. Bear in mind gluten is not usually a problem for people who are not suffering from a medical condition which is affected by gluten and that such a condition needs to be diagnosed by a doctor.
Sorbet does generally contain gluten, but there are some sorbets that are specially made with gluten free products - which are good for celiacs, IBS sufferers and people with a gluten intolerance.
There's gluten inside some breads like potato bread. That people normally get at Costco.😐
Yes a celiac can eat chicken as long as the sauce that is on top (if any) is gluten free. Some sauces such as terriaki are usually NOT ok. But some are according to the ingredients. Wheat, rye, oats, barley and malt are not ok in any food for a celiac. Chicken sold unfrozen may contain Gluten in the preservatives they use. Also, Chicken unfrozen my have chicken broth added and that may contain gluten.
