People are concerned about this because genetically modified food is not natural food. It was genetically modified by a human or a machine. In either case, man made machine, and man isn't perfect. So, because of that, people are so concerned.

∙ 14y agoCertain genetically modified foods have been changed on the molecular level in ways that may be extremely dangerous to health. One concern is that seed corn produced by giant corporations has been engineered to withstand heavy applications of pesticides; other food crops are designed to incorporate insecticides in their cells. Very, very little is known about how these elements affect human beings who eat the plants. A great many people object to being, in effect, involuntary test subjects of the chemical corporations.
