I was actually just going to ask this question. I have no idea. I personally think New Years is a stupid holiday, its an excuse for people to drink and party. I guess people feel like a new year is a new beginning, starting over.
Happy New Year is Tausaga Fou fiafia.
You can also say Happy new year in new hampshire because the people there think the new years eve is coming early.
That's funny, because I'm writing some right now! I'm putting "Have a Happy New Year." However, you can also write something along the lines of: "Have a happy 2013" "Have a great New Year" or simply "Happy New Year"
Some of them celebrate, but some of them don't.
the Afghanistan new year is on 21st of march 2011 with nice food people will be happy to eat Lot's of food on the 21st of march i mean is new year have a good new year. and some of people dancing on that day because they want to make another people happy to enjoy of new year in Afghanistan. now Roze is a great day for afghan people they wear national afghan dress and make happy idea. and puston people are stupid they don't want this thing like Persian people do on the new year. puston people are really stupid .
For some people in other states and countries, it is, but in Canada, it's on the 1st.
A good quote for a New Years card is "Don't forget the past, learn from it. Happy New Year!". Another popular quote is "Cheers to the new year. May it be a memorable one. Happy New Year!"
Good luck
It saying happy holidays people may say it if they don't celebrate Christmas or because it's the three holidays right after each other thanksgiving chritmas and new years
We celebrate Easter, Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years Day, Bonfire Night and Halloween, some people also celebrate Lent and Thanksgiving but not that many.
it could be a good sign it all depends. if my ex txtd me happy new years it would at least let me know that he is thinking about me. or in some cases they just are being ignorant
New Year's (Eve) and New Year's Day are proper nouns requiring upper case initials. Also happy New Year. "We say Happy New Year at the beginning of the new year."
