Not to sound flip but because they want too. Most "Satan worshipers" just worship the idea of Satan as a force apposed to God. They are actually atheists and humanists who believe in Satan as a foil to God.

∙ 12y agoWell i do believe in god and the devil, so the reason why people believe in god is because they believe god has created the one and only earth, plants, animals and us humans. Well in my opinion idont know why people dont because who else could have created earth. The devil on the other hand is probably because the stories say that jesus went to fight the devil to save us from sins. But i dont really know, i just got that from what i know.

There must be a greater being that controls it all.
Things could be so nice and the only thing that stops it being so, is the work of the devil.

∙ 13y agoHe is the reason for temptation. If there is a good there has to be a bad. He tempted eve to eat the fruit and thts when sin and death and hard stuff came into the world then eve tempted Adam. And he ate too

Only Christians and Muslims believe in the devil, although perhaps not all do. Assuming that people go to church because they believe in God, rather than for cultural reasons, most of them probably believe in the devil.
