Why do the interior lights intermitently come on and drain the battery on a 1996 buick park avenue?

Why do the headlights and interior lights come on and stay on as soon as the battery is connected on a 1994 Buick Park Avenue?
What is it when the tail lights stay on and interior lights stay on and make clicking sound on 94 stealth?
The engine is clicking with all of the interior lights on? Dead battery... and for future reference... if there is no clicking= really dead battery and it might not recharge. In that case check the alternator, if the alternator is still good, just buy a new battery. If the battery continues to fail to recharge get a new alternator.
What is wrong with the car when it won't turn on but all the lights inside the car and the radio come on but the head lights won't?
Maybe you have a problem with your car's battery. If your battery's dead, your interior lights and radio wont turn on. So if you wait for a while and your radio wont turn on, then probably the problem is with the battery. If it is, than you should check the your battery fluid. If its not the battery, maybe there is something wrong with your starter motor.
Something must be draining the battery while it is not running. Usually it is caused by an interior light being left on either inside or perhaps the trunk or one of the doors were not closed completely and thus causing the interior lights to stay on and drain the battery. Otherwise, this will continue and you should plan on replacing the alternater and/or battery
A dead cell in the battery will cause it to loose it's charge overnight. The only fix is to replace the battery. Also if something is on drawing power from the battery it will run it down overnight. Look at all lights. Interior, under hood, trunk, give box, brake lights, etc. It can also be a stuck relay.
Had the same problem with mine. With it sitting in the garage, with the key out, the interior lights would repeatedly cycle on and off. It eventually got to the point where it would drain the battery. I took it to the dealer (it was still under warranty), and they replaced the module that controlled the interior lights. They told me that if it had been out of warranty that it would have cost around…
just had this problem with my 2002 durango, the mechanic ran it on the computer and nothing showed up so he disconnected the battery and then reconnected it and everything works now. The headlights, locks, panel lights, interior lights, locks, rear wipers all run through the body assembly moduale. Hope this helps you.
If the battery is running down if it sits for a long period of time then either something is on that is pulling power from the battery or the battery has a dead cell. Check the under hood, glove box, trunk, & interior lights. Also check the brake lights. In rare cases it can be a stuck relay such as a power window relay. If it has a dead cell the only fix is to…
does anyone have this problem with their 2007 grand cherokee larado, during wet weather or during the winter when its slushy out, the lift gate light comes on and the interior lights stay on. used the dimmer switch to shut interior lights off ? I disconnected the battery overnight and after the weather clesred and everything was dry I reconnected the battery and all was back to normal. Can anyone help with this issue.
A Diesel Vehicle Needs a Battery Because... It needs something to store electrical energy. Some of the things needing that stored energy in order to operate when the engine is not running include: Starter to crank and start the engine. Lights [hazard flasher lights, headlights, parking lights, brake lights, interior lights, engine compartment and trunk interior work lights] when the engine is not operating. Radio and other sound/entertainment systems. Other devices like power mirrors, seats…
