Why do the stupid and obvious questions get answered on here but not the serious ones people need answers to?

My guess is because serious questions are in need of research; stupid and obvious ones are easy-to-answer.

Everyone in good standing on the site tries to do their best to remove disinformation, unwarranted joke answers, insults, etc.If someone cannot resist adding a humorous quip to a serious question, it is advised to add that below the serious answer, preferably with a heading to denote that it is humor. However, raunchy joking and smart Alec responses have no place anywhere on the site. Adding "Yo mama" to an answer adds no value to the site.
