I have never heard of veganism leading to gluten intolerance, many people are simply gluten intolerant and become vegans because their intolerance causes them to more closely examine their eating and health. Others decide not to eat gluten because this can improve your health regardless of tolerance.

Can people with gluten intolerance drink spiced rum like Captain Morgan's?

I am gluten intolerant and as a 19 year old student, drink fairly often. I am not sure of the contents of Captain Morgans but i DO however find that anything but CLEAR liquor bothers my stomach. Is gluten bad for you?

Gluten shouldn't be bad for you unless you suffer from a gluten-intolerant medical condition, such as celiac disease. Such medical problems need to be properly diagnosed by a medical practitioner and discussed with a medical specialist in that field, who will either help you decide on an appropriate dietary approach, or can refer you to someone specializing in the nutritional requirements of gluten-intolerant individuals.

Can you die if you are intolerant and you eat gluten?

If you are intolerant to gluten (have Celiac Disease) and continually eat gluten, your body will not get the nutrients it needs to function. Gluten can damage your small intestine and block the proper nutrients from being absorbed into your body causing you to be malnourished. You can definitely increase the chance of shortened life span but, of course it depends upon the severity of your condition.
