People remember Shakespeare because his plays are continuously being performed all over the place. And that is because there are many many people who love his plays and want to see them performed. Most actors also love playing in a Shakespeare play and getting to say those wonderful lines.

We remember him because people keep talking about, producing and adapting his plays. If you didn't know about Shakespeare, you would miss a lot of what people are talking about.
