If someone is told what they did when drunk the day before will they remember it when they're sober?

When drunk, your brain gives most of the attention in keeping you able to walk, talk and actually DO things, because this is what the alcohol affected. It doesn't concentrate on remembering stuff.

For example: You walk home drunk. It's more important that you keep on walking than remembering what the person next to just said. Or what you said to him/her.

You could say that alcohol makes you incapable to do more than one thing at a time (multitasking). So your brain prioritises, and remembering stuff is not as important as keeping your vital body-functions working.

Don't get into this state if you can avoid it, bad things happen then, i know, believe me ;)

Not so much the truth but what they are thinking and what they think is the truth. Alcohol lowers inhibitions, it does not make one empirically accurate.
