Because it feels cold and you and something to give you comfort. I think your body tells you to eat so you can stock up and thus avoid starvation. This happens because of our ancestors. As if it's engraved in our DNA, like survival impulse.
This is my opinion and not based on scientific study, although I've read things about it here and there about it.

∙ 14y agoA person normally doesn't feel hungry in hot weather. Actually, the inverse is true and scientifically, it make sense. In cold weather, your body tries to maintain the temperature and in doing so, needs nourishment constantly.

∙ 12y agoProbably because during the summer you're active and you don't have a lot of time to eat, rather than staying inside because its cold. You aren't as busy when it's cold and everyone stays inside, that's also why its called the flu season, because everyone is inside.
