Hitler's oratorical skills enabled him to promote his ideas, one of which was to get the "bad guy" responsible for the depressed economic conditions in Germany, the "bad guy" being a term of Hitler's own invention: "International Jewry". That's not the only reason Hitler came to power so easily, but thriving economic conditions would have made Hitler's plans much, much more difficult, if not impossible, to carry out.
