i think that naming people and animals are important because they how could we find them , or call them. Another reason is because you will feel bad for them if they just call the animals and people wouldn't you be sad if they called you people. that is qhy it is important to name people and animals.

We like to name everything. It's one of the advantages of having language. Essentially, people name things so they can refer other people to them. It's so much easier to say, "I saw a cat" that to say, "I saw one of those things about so big (holding up hands) with so many legs (holding up fingers) and a long sticking-out-behind thing; you know, one of the ones that catches the not-so-big things with the can-hardly-see-'em legs and the really long behind-thing with no fuzzy stuff on it."

In The Bible, God sets the first man, Adam to naming all the animals. Of course, with more than one person doing the naming, the same kind of animal tends to get several names, which is why scientists have a special naming convention, called Linnean taxonomy, or binomial nomenclature to help them know what animal they're talking about. For example, the creature known to science as Panthera concolor is variously called puma, cougar, painter, panther, catamount, mountain lion, American lion and screaming cat.
